New Card Challenge!!

Every Monday, the DTs at LCOM need to create a card for new challenge. Hope you will join us every week at the forum. Let's create together!!

This week Sandi provided us with a challenge and this is what she had in mind...
"For this week, I would like you to color/paint on your card. You could use crayons, glimmer mist, markers, ink, chalk, pencils or paint. Can't wait to see what you come up with."

Here's my take ...

I forgot to post last week's Monday Challenge.
It was to make a card using Zoe's sketch :)

Fishy Week

Last week, teachers at Krista taught the students all about fish! We introduced different fishes, talked about the anatomy of a fish & of course we taught them interesting songs to sing too. We also got the students to touch and see a real fish. Kids always learn faster through sensorial and practical session. Here are some photos that I took. Enjoy :)

Teacher Nani, my new assistant.
She is really fun to be with & her love for kids is amazing!!

Scraps!!

Are your scraps pilling up?

What do you normally do with your scraps?

Do you just put it a side in a box or will you make
a point to use at least one before you create a layout/card?

OMG!!! *jumping madly*

Hi peeps!! Guess what... I just received an email by Susan & Mark from Genuinely Jane Studio that they want me to be their September Guest Designer!! I was ECSTATIC!! GJS is a company that produces hardwood products for scrapbooking & altered arts. They are made in USA. I can't wait to see what they have for me :) You can read it HERE

Play Time

Here are some pictures I snapped today when the Playhouse & KI students had their break. As usual after having their morning snacks they will get to play with their friends. A couple choose to grab a book and read. Of course every now and then, there were a couple of times will come to me to tell me that this/that friend doesn't wanna share. This is where my role will come in to remind them to share with each other. Sometimes it works and sometimes not but I believe this is part of learning in life.... to SHARE! I believe at times we face it too... hehehe.

Card Fever!!

For the past few days, I have indulged myself into card making. Over at Let's Capture Our Memories, they had DT Intro Challenge Card. Click HERE to visit the blog. I thought it would be nice to support my fellow DTs by doing cards for their challenges. Altogether there are 7 challenges (including mine). I started with my own challenge that was to do a card using transparency and ribbon. Yeah I know I have done one but I just wanted to challenge myself to do another one :) Below this post are the challenges by LCOM fellow DTs...

Roberta's Intro Card Challenge

Roberta said "Tear it up and see what you can come up with. Tear up a flower, or a bunny, puppy, tree, you choose. Have fun with this. Enjoy the challenge."

So this is what I did! I created a torn background, trust me it was fun
doing this challenge because I was thinking hard...

Sandi's Intro Card Challenge

Sandi challenge was easy for me because I {HEART} blings!!

Here's my take...

Zoe's Intro Card Challenge

Zoe wanted to challenge us with an interesting criteria:

"This week I would like you to go overboard! Ok Wait before you jump off the ship. Go over the edge in this weeks card!"

So I took the challenge and here's mine...

Jenn's Intro Card Challenge

This is what Jenn had to say about her challenge...

One word ladies - STAMP! I'm conquering my fear of stamping and going for it. Use your stamps to create a feature on your card, maybe it's using a stamp to create a custom background, or embellishment? Just stamp!

Here's my take. Everything is stamped except for the sticker that says "Together"...

Darlene's Intro Card Challenge

Darlene came out with a very fun challenge and that is to create a cutwork card.

Here's mine. I kinda like the vintage feel of this card.
Reminded me of Victorian style... don't you think so?

Dana's Intro Card Challenge

Next, I tried Dana's card challenge that is to
create a card with the sketch she provided. Here's my take...
