SIL Blog Hop # 6

Woo hoo!! It's my turn to host the last blog hop challenge for Scrap-it-Lah's 1st Anniversary Blog Hop.

My challenge to you is to ...
"Create a layout using the colors in the cupcake photo. Draw inspiration from the photo and translate them into your layout. You are allowed to use either colored photo(s) / black and white photo(s)."

Photo Credit by Green Party Goods
(now you know what I browse besides scrapbooking... giggles)

Here's my take ...

Close-up shots & some details:

The butterflies was inspired by the cupcake holder. Holes for the flowers but I chose mine to be butterflies with holes... LOL!!

This flower I created based on the cupcake flower on the top & I gave dimension to it too :)

The painted yellow bubble wrap I used was inspired by the tiny pearls on the cupcake.

Since my challenge is more to monochromatic colors & to celebrate Green Day, I decided to have a monochromatic colored RAK too. Hehe :) Hope you will play along with us! International & local submissions are welcome. So get your thinking hat NOW!!

Conditions do apply:

Kindly note that we have 6 challenges for you this month and hence the deadline is much tighter this time. You only have 5 days to scrap this layout and hence the dateline for this challenge would be on the Friday 30th April, 2010 ( 12 pm Malaysian time). We regret to inform you that we will not be accepting any more submissions after the stipulated time.

Psst... Pls leave a link here too if you play along because I'd love to see what you came up with.

Bad Blogger

I know... I know... I have to admit that I have been a bad blogger. Been busy with loads of things at my end (as usual), mainly preparing for classes. I wanted to take a break from all those for a while and decided to indulge myself in making a card. I really missed creating card, seriously!! So I gave myself only 30 minutes for a card break and here is what I created :) So this is still hot from the oven *wink*

I love Mission 0015 over @ Mission To Create blog.
You can check the concepts HERE.

Love that Psalm... "I will praise thee; for I am wonderfully made"...
I am very grateful that God gave me a pair of creative hands :)
I seriously {heart} the self-stamped polka dot ribbon!

Have a great weekend everyone!! Papa is coming over for dinner tonite.
He promised me that he will cook & I thank God for that. LOL!!

I am SATISFIED now!!

Sketchabilities Sketch # 14

I just had a good massage & I was screaming away!! But I felt so much better. Had a stiff neck and a very sore and tired body and mind. So a good massage was what I wanted so much! I was so thrilled that my massage lady could make it today though she can only attend to me at night. I just had to wait for her. Thank God she made it!! Well it was a "bittersweet"... LOL!!

Ok I am gonna post a quick one because I am so so sleepy after the massage. LOL!! At Sketchabilities we have a new sketch designer, Allison. Her sketch is pretty interesting. You should check out the sketch and what the rest of the creative DTs created!! Amazing layouts! Do join us ya?

Here's mine ...

That's Cindy & I at the The Curve Mall. She came down to KL to attend her cousin's wedding and managed to sneak a couple of hours to meet me. She is one creative card maker and a very gracious lady. I love this lady alot!! Miss chatting with ya, Cindy!! Gosh this is prob one of my fav Cosmo Cricket collection - Early Bird :)

Design Dollies

Hi I bumped into this challenge blog called Design Dollies. They have really fun challenges and of course giveaways too. I was pretty stressed last week designing for workshops & also for upcoming Mother's Day classes. Seriously thought I should de-stress myself with a fairly simple challenge. So that's how I discovered Design Dollies. I really loved this sketch. I am a sucker for white space sketches. So here's mine...

I printed these photos for my guest design @ Creative Scrappers. Well wrongly printed them, so I thought don't waste them. It's me on the photos!! LOL. Hence another layout of the same photos. I crackled-painted my edges too. Whee!!

I missed Scenic Route :( Heart this chipboard camera alot!!

Again another Scenic Route "love" chipboard!

Still in the banner & Sassafrass Lass craze *wink*

Okie dokie, need to go have dinner with Mr.Handsome! Have a great day everyone!

{Create} Make It Happen

This April over at {Create} Make It Happen, one of the DT, Naddy has given us a challenge to add texture to our layouts. It is open for interpretation & it has alot of possibilities. Here's mine :)

I seriously missed hanging out with my bestie, Wati. We went to Rawa Island last June and we had a blast. Just the clear water and our pretty sunnies! Of course, our hubbies and Adam were with us too. These boys can really entertain us. LOL! Heart the Little Yellow Bicycle traveller collection, it's part of the Scarlet Lime kit I got last year!! Talking bout hoarding... faint!

I stamped on a muslin cloth. Fun! The stamp is one of Scarlet Lime's kit too.

As usual I misted *winks*.

Label marker by Dymo is another great way to create texture. Not forgotten those yummy pearl strands & japanese masking tape gave a very elegant texture to my layout too *loves*

Last but not least the red & white twine gave an umph to the tag & photo. I love those twine!!

So do hope over to {Create} blog and join us because the winner will walk away with a RAK by Naddy. Hope to see your creations soon :)

I would also like to shout out for Scrap-It-Lah's 2nd Challenge is already up. So be sure to drop by HERE to do the next blog hop. Join us and you can win a RAK too!! Who doesn't want one?? LOL!

Love that piece of fabric! I used it to hide my journaling tag :)

It's so fun to mix the alphas!! Also used a digital frame on my photo. Cool hybrid huh?

Heart those pom-pom trims by Fancy Pants. That woodgrain stamp by Unity Stamp is one of my fav :)

My doodling! I doodled superstar if you can't figure that out. LOL!
