I'm 30 ...

This year's birthday was an early affair. FYI, my birthday is today! It all started on Friday evening. I didn't really wanted to throw a party (wasn't feeling too good for one) but Mr.Handsome insisted to invite the cell church group, so I gave in. I seriously wanted to see how he organized it. Mind you, Mr.Handsome is good with it! Two thumbs up for making it so successful. Woo hoo!!

We had everyone in green, simply because he knows that I like green. Everyone was very cooperative and all turned up in different shades of green. It was an awesome green party! None of us look like a leprechaun, so no worries. LOL! Thanks to all my cell members for coming & all those lovely gifts and snacks :)

I shall let the photos speak.... enjoy!!

Before the party, Mr.Handsome bought me flowers.
So thoughtful of him!!

I was trying out flower arrangements, I hoped I did well, no?

With my cell leader's son, Josiah. I just wanna bite him, so adorable!
he came dress in green too, his top to his little socks. Even his Crocs are green!!

I decided to give a very simple deco to my ceiling by hanging paper garlands.
I sewed them all!!

Love it? I adore the butterflies alot!

Before the party, I hunted for such cuppies display and I got one!! They are separate pieces but I was glad to mixed them up well :)
I was ecstatic!! Love how shabby + vintage it looked!

We had yummy food from Dominoes, fried rice, golden chicken wings & my Papa's sambal udang petai! I was at heaven that mo... hahaha. I love food!! Oh yeah, we served green tea, apple juice and Papa treated us Carlo Rossi but too bad I can't take them cause I was having bad-wheezing- cough!

Thanks Whiz for baking me the yummy cuppies!!

Mr.Handsome loves to have poppers for my birthdat every year since we moved in... for some reason! LOL!

A group shot of everyone in green!

I loved it when all the poppers paper strips got stuck on the paper garlands!!
Whimsical look eh?

Thanks Miah for the shot :) I love this alot!

Finally after all the hardwork he poured in, Mr.Handsome got to finally enjoy his share of cuppies!! Baby, thanks alot for throwing me a party this year and you did a FAB job!! Seriously, you did! I had so much fun :) You just know how to treat your woman... BLISS!!

Oh yeah, one more last thing... guess what this chica got for her birthday from Mr.Handsome?

I was asked to post before opening and...

... I was gleaming all over because I got an iPad!! How cool eh?
Well, he knows his wife enjoys the iPhone so much that he wants to get her an iPad, so she can have a bigger screen to browse. Isn't he a keeper?

Thanks everyone who had left me birthday wishes at Facebook, at the blog and also the thoughtful SMSes and calls. I love you all for being so thoughful :) Your messages really put a smile on my face, especially when I am under the weather now!!

Before I end, I hope that you will say a little prayer for me because I have not been well for almost a month now. Mostly having bad asthma+wheezing+cough+flu+fever+back pain and now having chest pain... sigh! What a day entering into 30s!

Thanks for coming back and have an awesome day everyone!!

Friendly Challenge

"Friendly Challenge" was all started when one of my scrappy-friend, Sharm was a little mojo low. I told her that I'd love to give her challenges so she can get back on track. She agreed! She wanted to create and I wanted to help. I am not starting a challenge blog, friendly challenge is a purely-for-fun challenge and I'd love to see everyone's interpretation. That's all! No hidden agenda. LOL!

At this previous post, I asked if anyone interested to join the next "Friendly Challenge" and I was so surprised with the response. So I am back with another challenge, this time round it is still a photo inspiration with the orange + blue colors.

Here is my interpretation:
I was inspired with the colors, orange + blue. Seldom play with such colors and this time I took the effort to do it. And the best part, I have my friends to accompany me. Crafter-friends are the BEST! Those beautiful papers are from Kaiser Craft "Tea Elsie's". The colors fitted the requirements!

Close-up shots:
One of the technique I still enjoy doing the most is to layer!
Always love giving my layouts some dimension!

That vintage lady I got it from the internet :)

Here are my other friends who are interested to join the friendly challenge. Do check out their beautiful creations because I know I will be amazed by their talents.

In no particular order:

So would you like to join us for another Friendly Challenge? If YES is the answer, do leave me a note. Will include you the next round :) Thanks for dropping by!

Sketchabilities Sketch #27

Hey hey! It's that time again for the next Sketchabilities Sketch reveal & this time we are having our local scrapbook artist, Irene Tan as our guest. Sketchabilities is celebrating its anniversary and there are lots of challenges going on and the best part lots of prizes to be given away. Please check out the DTs take HERE and more details on the celebration HERE.

Here's my take on the sketch # 27:

Our fur-kids are so fortunate! They are living such good life...seriously! They sleep most of the time & when they are hungry, all they do is to find the red bowls that contain water & cat food. LOL! They are spoilt by Mr Handsome and moi, of course!

Don't you just love those Studio Calico's goodies! The colors are stunning :)

If you know me well enough from my blog, you know that I can't live without my mists! Period.

Thanks for dropping by and do come back on Monday for another interesting reveal. Sounds interesting huh? So do come back ok? Toodles.

Mission Create # 25

Yes, I know I have been a very "naughty" blogger! Simply because I did not update my beloved baby here. LOL! I am still on holidays and had been super busy with commission work (a mini album with 40 pages...I kid you not!) & with lots of scrapbook assignments! It was stressful for the past 2 weeks but I always enjoyed creating because it is something I love to do. Only the Lord and Mr.Handsome knows my level of STRESS + being sick, ain't helping. Sigh.

I am back again to show you what I have created for Mission to Create # 25 this week. Another fun concepts by the core DTs and love what the both layout and card DTs have created. You can view the concepts HERE. Wonder where they get their mojo sometimes... kekeke. Guess what, we have the famous Danielle Flanders as our guest too! Woo hoo!

Here is my card :)

I love how vintage this card turned out to be. For some reason, my cards are getting more vintage/shabby-chic looking these days. Did you notice that? Haha.

When you pull the tag out, this is how it looked like.
Love the cheesy line "Kiss The Cook"!

Oh yeah, calling all Singaporeans scrappers/anyone who is residing in Singapore & interested in craft... there is a KCK contest you might wanna check it out HERE! Very yummy prizes!! Contest ends on the 30 September 2010.

Pixie Dust Paperie's Prima paper pack giveaway is still ON. Check it out HERE!

It's great to stop by here and it's time to catch up with the other blogs!
See you around chica!

KCK Guest Design + Challenge

A tiny history bout KCK. KCK is owned by a company based in Singapore since the 80's. From fancy stationery, stickers & gift, they ventured into scrapbooking/craft supplies. They have many different embellishments to go with different themes. Cute & classy they have it all!

So when I was contacted by the talented Sandy Ang, KCK coordinator in Singapore to be a Guest Designer I was like... ehhh... is that for real? LOL! I was relieved that my LSS, Papier Love carries KCK products. I managed to get only 3 glittery patterned papers & a pack of classy black & white embellishment stickers. BIG Phew! It was a challenge to me too cause I don't usually use these colors but guess what... I love the result!!

So here is what I was asked to create - a mini album. I created a 6"x4" album. Info & details bout the products and the album:

Glittering Glamour papers are beautiful collection by KCK. It is very glittery and very glamourous. I love the texture of the patterned papers and it is thick. Therefore it is versatile for all types of projects.

The embellishment stickers that I chose are so lovely and very eclectic looking. Perfect combination to go along with the papers!

For this mini album, I kept the look simple, simply because the papers are so beautiful. I fussy cut the papers and layer them to give a dimensional look by using foam dots. The balance of the papers I created a handmade flower at the cover.
I also used a butterfly punch to punch the papers to further enhance the designs. To finish the look I distress the edges of the mini album with brown ink.

Supplies :
KCK Products - Glittering Glamour Papers (ref 12141, 12142, 12143) and Handmade Embellishment Sticker (item: HM120)
Others - White Paper bags, Making Memories Eclectic Metal Signs, Lace, Pearls, EK Success Punch, Martha Stewart Punch, Brown Ink, Crystal Stickers, Alpha Stickers

There's a giveaway at KCK blog too. If you are interested, pls click HERE to find out more. Thanks KCK for the opportunity :)

I am waiting for a friend to hunt for craft goodies. She'll be arriving soon. Will update you on our hunt later! Oh yeah, there's another pretty giveaway HERE. Check it out! Have a great weekend everyone!!

Scrap-It-Lah "Scraplift" Challenge

When I got this assignment, I was quite excited! We got to scraplift a layout from the SIL team and I chose Yatie's layout HERE. I really like the composition she created & also decided to use the same title. I added "shy" to my title :) If you read my journaling, you'll know why! LOL!

For this layout, I decided to give myself a little challenge. No patterned papers were used on this layout... seriously! What you see are Making Memories die cuts from the Just Chillin' collection. Love the vibrant colors! To me the background looks like a faux canvas, no?

Close up shots:

Love the wasp & gold stud, faux metal? LOL!

Eric loves his Fender electric guitar & his pedal effects to bits! He is really good with music. A music genius! He practices it almost everyday and that inspired me to put a guitar above the title. Cool huh?

Do check out the rest of the DTs work and do join us ya?
