V-Day

Last V-day was awesome! As always, we had a great celebration by having romantic lunch & dinner, watched a nice Cantonese movie and stayed out too. Oh yeah, one more thing Mr Handsome never failed to get me bouquet of flowers from the very day we dated. I loved him for being so loving and thoughtful at the same time. Isn't he a keeper?!

I seriously love these photos of us. Taken it before our date night on V-day. In the month of Feb, Erica the YSS owner was so kind to give us store credit and we can choose whatever we want to create. I chose the beautiful Basic Grey Curio collection papers & chipboard stickers. Loved how this collection went well with the romantic theme. Believe it or not, I created this layout with only two papers, one acted as a base and another piece... I cut-away! LOL! I have a serious LOVE affair with my Cutterbee scissors ok... ssshhhh....

Here are some close-up shots:

Thank You card

A lil card that I created using the ever-wonderful Webster's Pages paper that you can find it in the Pixie Feb kit. I also used the doily die cut that you can get hold in the Jan kit. Pretty simple to assemble it, just a lil of fussy cutting, stamping and distressing and you are good to go.

Hope you like the card and Happy Sunday!

Buddies

To have a buddy to hold, to cry on, to talk & to just giggle really made me a blessed person! I have known Wati for a while now and I am glad we are still buddies! It all started with this hobby called scrapbooking & we met at a forum. Yes, that's how I knew her! We have travelled together and we just know how to enjoy ourselves... well, at least to us! LOL!

I love this photo of us taken at Gili Island and of course it would be a waste if I do not scrap it rite? And of course Pixie Feb kit is the way eh?! I seriously adore the papers and the colors... green + pink is just perfect for a girly layout.

I love to cut as you all know by now and I love to play with seam binding too. Love that vintage green button by Girl's Paperie!

My current fave now is to doodle title and I think it will stick a while with me :) Oh yeah, don't you just love that yellow trim?

My distress-paper layering. I never like to stick my papers all the way down unless I purposely choose to do it. You know me & my dimension rite? Lol.

"V" Mini Album

I had an awesome celebration last V-day! To treasure all the precious memories & Instragram photos I snapped with Mr. Handsome, I decided to create a 6"x 6" mini album for this special day. And the best thing, this mini was created using only a piece of AC Black cardstock *wink*

What better way to create this mini with the yummy Studio Calico "Candy Shoppe" Feb kit, brought to you by Scrappin Studio store.

Cover

Here are the inner pages:

1st page: We had an awesome meal on V-day and the pasta we had were so yummo!

2nd page: That MM envelope is from an add -on kit called "Lollipop". The AC sheer ribbon is a must! Oh yeah the heart pendant is a necklace I wore on V-day!

I stored the tag Mr. Handsome wrote for me & that tag came along with a bouquet of lilies. it was tough to get lilies and this year, the florist made it happened for him. Lol. Isn't he a keeper? :)

Just right in between of the envelope and the next page I created a pocket for that blue piece. That blue piece is actually part of the rub-on packaging :) I up-cycled it! I am crazy over SC packaging... seriously!

Ta-daa! Here is what I did to the rub-on packaging. Those Crate Paper stickers are exclusively designed for SC & how cool is that eh? How can you use the rub-on packaging without using the blue fair ribbon rub-on eh?

This is the final pages of my album.

3rd page: On V-day, mr.Handsome presented 10 lilies that symbolizes our 10th times V-celebration. I didn't really noticed till he told me. He is that detail ok?! LOL. And to top that he got me a "heart" of chocs & a white Swatch.

4th page: Lastly, that is our lovely V-shots : day & night version! That Sassafrass bloom is too sweet that I have to add it on. Bloom is in the add-on "Lollipop" kit.

Hope your Monday was good &
Happy Monday to my other-part-of-the-world blogger friend :)

He Adores You

Hey hey! Hope you had an awesome time celebrating V-day a couple days back! I am back with another layout created using the fun & awesome Pixie Feb kit. In the midst of all the fairies in the kit, it's awesome that Pixie Chief, Kirsty included some very fun papers and embellies.

That's Adam with his godpa, Mr Handsome. So that makes 2 handsome looking male in a layout! LOL! Adam seriously adores him alot and whenever Adam meets Mr Handsome he will be a broken record by saying this over and over again, "I like Papa Eric!". We counted before how many times he confessed his love to Papa Eric but at last we lost count because it was too many times. LOL!

I was so happy to see EP paper that fills with cheery polka dots in the kit and it is perfect for me to create my own background by using glimmer mist. I love to play with mist to bits! If you wanna take a peek how I created my background, you can view HERE! Pixie shop has some awesome glimmer mist colors & you can check them HERE!

Misted the MR chipboard frame too!

I matted the photo with vintage music sheet that you can get in Jan kit. Also matted the EP paper with Webster's diecut paper that is in your Feb kit.

Happy scrapping!

Nook News!!

We are currently having a Wed Random Card Challenge @ Nook Forum! Danni (a card genius) came out with this awesome idea to create a card with an elephant on it. How cute is that!

Here's my take...

I love the Doily Thrift Shop stamp by October Afternoon. It's a perfect background stamp if you ask me. You can get them HERE :) So if you have an elephant in your stash, do put on your thinking hat and come join us. For more details at the forum HERE!

Hey QT!!

The colors in the Studio Calico Feb Kit, Candy Shoppe is just so yummy!! I love colors alot and this month's kit brought by Scrappin Studio is just perfect for those who love cheery colors :) My next layout that I played with, I decided to use the Ditsy Dot & also Rainbow paper that Cosmo Cricket designed exclusively for SC.

That's our godson, Adam. He is a QT!! He is growing up to be a handsome young looking boy too. Taken this photo of him during our vacay at Gili Island. I love the sweet & innocent look he gave me in this photo. On some other days, he is cheery-hyper-quite moody-very loving & the list can go on & on about him. LOL!

On the rainbow, I added tiny textures by using glitter glue. My fav is by Kindyglitz. An australian brand. It dries fast and very fine!

The blue ric rac and the buttons are an add on kit called Lollipop. You can get them HERE.

What a better way to journal around the rainbow huh? The masking heart, bubble wrap stamping & misting are always my fave!!

Do check out Scrappin Studio store because it has so many new products added in it. Oh yes, pls come back for more tomorrow!

Dinner Soon?

I love the October Afternoon Wild cards in the Pixie's Feb kit and they are just so vintage! One really caught my attention about dinner conversation & immediately I had an idea to make a card with the title "Dinner Soon?" I thought it might be a cool card to invite friends over for dinner and to catch up. Don't you think so?

I still remember vividly the table manners my mom & dad taught me when I was young. They were very particular about how we munch our food... mouth should be closed while you do that & not making "funny munching" sound. How should we choose that certain part of the chicken from the plate served? We were taught to first observe then slowly pick up the part that we like. Not tossing the chicken parts around till you make up your mind. Mom's a Chinese, so she used to boil soup very often. She always warned us to gently dip into the bowl of soup and drink it. Never "rinse" the spoon in the soup... if you know what I mean! LOL! Of course the classic, we shouldn't talk with our mouths full!

These days, when I observe, kids & quite a number of adults do not have proper table manners. The one thing I can't stand is kids running everywhere during dinner in a restaurant and parents are doing nothing about it. It annoys me... seriously!

Ok, enough of the blabbing & I do hope you like this card. Have an awesome week ahead!

Baby Tuffie

Guess what... I am invited to be KCK Guest Designer again!! This time round, I got to play with the beautiful Sassafrass Lass collection called Mix & Mend. I was asked to write a post on my creation and here it is. Psst...I added a couple more lines here *wink*

Mix & Mend by Sassafrass Lass is a beautiful collection with alot of layering designs on every piece. It gives a very vintage feel to it but yet it is still very relevant and modern. The electic designs & colors on this collection can easily accommodate diversity in your project. You can make layouts, cards, altered projects ie: notepads.

Products used:
Sassafrass Lass - Mix & Mend Collection : Tailored Sweetly paper, Alterations paper, Sweet Treat Stickers & Kelly Green glittered alphas.
Martha Stewart Butterfly Punch
Twine
Crochet Lace
Ribbon Mesh
Pearl stickers

That's my baby fur-kid, Tuffie. He is like a "king" in the house!! But of course a cute one. He loves to hang out with me in the arty room and just rest & relax on the rattan chair. His fav piece in the room. Tuffie has so much personality & he loves to be cuddled. But sometimes can be very moody too. Whatever it is, he is still our baby!

Little scrappy info:

To balance the look of this layout, I used a ribbon mesh to mat the photo.

I cut the designs from alteration paper and layered them on tailored sweetly piece. And have also used twine to add texture to the layout. Hope you can see it :)

In between I used the paper edger and also crochet lace to separate the two fussy cutting I cut. Doodling part of the title has been one of my current fave! It gives personal touch to your creation! Hope you like the layout :)

Well, in conjunction of this beautiful V-day, I bought this Inkadinkadoo wood mounted stamp & see how cute it is!! Managed to use this cutie for a little V-treat for my colleagues...

Mr. Handsome & I will be spending our V-day later in the evening. Can't wait to have a romantic dinner, catch a funny & good movie and just being with each other. Swoon! Happy Valentine's Day to ya'll :)

I want to remember...

I always want to remember when & where certain photos were taken but sometimes my memory can't catch up sometimes. LOL!! Prob that's the sign of "young" aging. Haha. But this photo is so precious that I will remember for a long time. It was taken before our wedding. In Malaysia, we have such thing as pre-wedding photos. Our package included outdoor and indoor (studio) photos. I really like this pic of myself *hope I don't sound like I am blowing my own trumpets* !

I was a little stumped when I see the background paper, I hardly use busy background but this is exceptional as I wanted to create a whimsical looking layout again! Use gesso again to create a subtle background & also "slice open" the flowers in order for me to slide the photo in. BTW, the word "remember" was from the Oct kit. How time flies and Pixie is already 6 months old!

Well, you definitely a couple of fairies on this layout, no? If you notice, I also used the Webster's Pages vellum on the photo & a die cut behind the photo :)

A couple more at this end. These fairies are the prettiest thing!

Happy Holidays Mini Album + Goodies

I was given these fun Jillibean papers for YSS DT assignment in January and didn't get the chance to post them here yet. I did a mini album without any photos yet... hoping to fill them by end of this year. Hoping to go to a snowy place year end *wishful thinking*

This album is actually partial altered project and also a mini album at the same time. Hope I didn't confuse your lil mind! Let me explain, the cover & pages are actually huge shipping tags. I cut them half and combined them to make it into a mini album. Got it? All products can be found in the YSS store :)

Close-up & page shots:

Loving those MR doilies and some of the pages you can slot it from the side. Cool eh?

Products used:
Jillibean - Christmas Chesnut Soup collection
Maya Road (tickets, doilies, chipboards, trim)
Basic Grey buttons
Webster's Pages alphabet stickers
Vintage Trim
Provocraft Embossing folder

Shipping tags

Last Monday, it was an awesome day because I received happy mails... doing the happy dance!
Firstly, I got this beautiful altered box filled with Melissa Frances goodies from my gf, Em. or should I call her my mail-pal... LOL! She is the only one that I often exchange emails to update each other. Seriously! We're pretty chatty. Haha.

Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart, Em!! You are the sweetest! Your work is ever stunning!! Love this alot. Xoxo :)

She seriously knows that I adore MF goodies, no one actually bring MF here. I am puzzled too!

Recognize the mini album on this cover? If you don't that's my cover-girl friend, JJ! She is so kind, super funny & as I told her before, "now I can have a part of her with me". LOL! Thanks JJ for the SBT magazine. Your album is so worthy to be the cover... seriously!

Remember to check out the YSS promo HERE for more savings! Thanks for dropping by again!

Two Crazy Guys + A lil Silly Man

Hey creative ladies!! I wanted to create a "wacky-looking" layout of these crazy-silly-good looking guys! So I dug thru what's in the "Springtime Pixie" Feb kit and found these awesome chipboards by Maya Road. Staring at them for a while and that light bulb above my head decided to lit! LOL!

Firstly, what I did was to lay the chipboard frames down all around the yellow cardstock and sprayed glimmer mist on them. Just like how you do masking. Once done, I leave it to dry for a while and did light stamping using bubble wrap. My all time fav technique :)

Next, rub one of the glitz frame onto the cardstock. Place your photos and you can further enhance the photos with painted/inked chipboard alpha! I used the script stamp on the frames too.

I also added these OA tickets stickers from the previous kit called "Funky Valentine" . Lastly, I stuck the Graphic 45 alpha stickers as part of my hand-written title :)

Note: All the above are created using the beautiful Feb "Springtime Pixie" kit!

Hope you try it! Thanks for peeking again!
