I Am Yours...

The title was inspired by Jason Mraz's song called "I'm Yours". It was a hit back when it was first release & actually I still enjoy listening to it.

Another layout created using "Floribunda" kit & love the Glitz papers!!

The rub-on and the fabric flower are from past kit that you can check them out HERE! The metal memo pins by Tim Holtz are just brilliant!!

Totally loving the alpha by Pink Paislee!! You can distress it to give a vintage look :)

This will be my last layout for Pixie! My 6 months-term is up at Pixie. I had so much fun creating for the past 6 months. Kirsty, the Chief Pixie sends the best kit & she is also the first person who gave me the opportunity to create for a kit club. I can still remember vividly when I was first approached, I was in awe! So thanks Kirsty for your generousity.

So before I sign off, I'd love to show you what I have created for the Pixie Sketch challenge and also the Pixie group project.

Well thought it is fun to scrap about non-people layout sometimes! I am a self-confessed "FOOD JUNKIE" so food is always a good substitute. LOL!

The group project we were asked to altered the party cone and this is my shabby-chic version :)

Have fun scrapping!

Emma's Shoppe continues...

Before I show you my next Nook layout, I wanna share a toot toot for this layout HERE! So thrilled to know that I made it to the 2peas gallery Top 3 for most viewed, most liked & most bookmarked!! Not too bad for a first timer at 2peas eh?!

Ok now I am all ready to share with you what I created with Nook kit. Here is another Crate Paper: Emma's Shoppe collection layout...

I managed to complete this layout while watching Castle. I have to watch it everyday... ok I am addicted to it. Loves how Castle teases Beckett! So yeah completed in an hour's time which I am very happy with the result! I heart the chipboard die-cuts so much. They are so much fun to design with & of course with Em's cutie... made the whole layout looks so good!

Close-up shots:

That dress up & play is so perfect for the photos!

Guess this EK Success punch is my all time favourite!! So versatile and delicate. It's my always go-to-punch. LOL! Ok, got to get back to my designing work! Thanks for peeking sweeties :)

I am so happy that I've finally received my first Nook DT kit! Immediately went to my happy place after work! Everything in that kit just screams PRETTY, GIRLY, SHABBY CHIC & the best of all it is Crate Paper: Emma's Shoppe collection! My fav collection so far :)

I really do wish I have a pretty & adorable lil girl but of course I do not have one yet. So I have to "borrow" Emeline's lil girl for all my girly layouts & she graciously agreed! TQ Em :) It's always blessed to have awesome scrapper-friend, eh?!

He is indeed my man...

Yesterday was a lazy Sunday for me but yet FUN!! Ok let me rewind back a little. On Sat evening, after church... we went to Starbucks to celebrate Earth Day from 8.30-9.30pm. All we have to do was to bring our own Starbucks tumblers. And we got ourselves FREE drink! Amazing deal huh? We love you Starbucks. Ghee, thanks!

p/s: Thanks Lene for the pic :)

Then on Sunday (yesterday), we went to have McDonald's and we got FREE Big Breakfast! We got up at 6.30am and the queue was already getting long. All we have to do was to spend RM5 and get 2 Big Breakfast. We got our neighbor, so we ended up with 4 meals. LOL! So yeah, thank you McDonald's!

Yesterday after the BIG breakfast, I spent some time creating this layout of Mr Handsome. I used the Studio Calico add-on kit called Mossy Knoll. This add-on is yummy! Perfect for masculine projects.

I love to snap photo using Instagram these days! And I love to scrap them too. So it's an awesome iPhone application for moi. You know golden moment like this... sometimes you can't afford to dig the huge Canon DSLR camera out to snap! Lol. What I love most about this creating process, Mr Handsome actually gives opinion. Wonder he does that because he is in the photo or he just wanna express/share his creativity side eh?! Can't complain too much rite? Haha.

Close-up shots:

Love the Sassafrass alpha! So versatile and easy to use :) The orange scallop paper was one of the promo cards in the kit.

Eric loves to ride, couldn't find a sports bike embellie so I opted for this cute little scooter that is also on a promo card! I love to upcycle/recycle :)

Remember to check out the yummy Studio Calico April & Add-Ons kit HERE!! Hurry go grab one before they are all sold out because the kits are limited :) Don't say I never warn you *wink*

I just received my first My Scrapbook Nook DT kit today and I am so gonna stay in my happy place for a while! I hope you have an awesome weekend at your end! Love to see you dropping by... so thanks!!

Build-A-Layout Tutorial

Hey crafty people!! One of our local online store, Scrappin Studio carries Studio Calico kits. I am so thankful that we can finally have it here in our country! Today, I am going to show you a tutorial on building a layout that I created for Scrappin Studio using the SC March "Into The Woods" kit.

First, using your circle punch... punch circles out of the selected patterned papers.

Lay & paste out all the punched circles onto the kraft cardstock. There's a reason why I chose circles because I want them to represent big buttons to match the title... scroll down & you'll see :)

Use a baby wipe/wet tissue to dip into the gesso...

... and spread it across the layout.

Yup...you'll get a white-washed background.

Paste the fabRips on and pinch to create texture.
Tip: You need to cut the fabRips length slightly longer.

Take out the nozzle from the mist bottle and drop some on all over the layout.

To create the flower, you need to do the first loop with the ribbon (Mossy Knoll kit)...

... and continue to loop in every direction.

Paste the Glitz vintage ticket (Mossy Knoll kit) on the FabRips.

Embellish the rest with photos, ribbon flower with MM metal flower brad and stickers!

Ta daa.... here's the completed layout:

I couldn't resist to use Em's girl's photo again! She is just too cute! Yes, cute as button! Do the circles at the background reflect big buttons? Hope they do! Lol.

Close up shots:

Hope you'll try it out but for now remember to get a yourself a March "Into The Woods" kit!! Most importantly enjoy the process of creating!

BTW, if you interested to subscribe thru Scrappin Studio. Good news, they ship kits/products all around. And now we have special promotion just for you! Remember to mention my name cause I get brownie points *wink*! TQ

She is darling...

I'm back with another assignment I created for YSS! But before I continue, I would like to say a HUGE thank you to all of you (& also to Mr Handsome) for dropping by to congratulate me at this post HERE & also on Facebook! I never thought so many of you would actually take the time to do that. I really appreciate it from the bottom of my HEART! I so feel the LOVE... seriously!! It brought tears to my eyes to know that I have wonderful blogger friends from ALL around the world :) Isn't scrapbooking is the best hobby around?!

Ok back to my assignment, as some of you already knew that I have been given Echo Park Springtime collection to play with. This first layout you can read all about HERE. When I saw the collection, I knew I have to get girly photos. So I came out with another EP layout featuring my email-pal, Emeline's daughter. She is a darling in this photo!!

I first created this layout without any photo until Em forwarded me her daughter's photo yesterday. Literally the photo fitted like gloves on my layout. LOL! Thanks Em for all the lovely photos of your lil girl :) You''ll be seeing her more in my future layouts!

Oh yeah, my distress "edges" method is by using paint dabbers by Jenni Bowlin!! You should check ALL the yummy colors at the YSS store. I was given yellow and yes, I have purchased more! It is so much fun with the paint dabbers. Give it a try because it saves ALL the mess!

She is really happy in that photo and hence "happy" is the perfect title!

Fussy cutting is my sanity. LOL!! Dimension is part of it too. A girl just loves her scissors so much!! Getting the idea? *giggles*

Remember you still have time to play along with the Sketch Challenge over at YSS blog. Thanks for dropping by again & will hop around to YOURS soon!!

Toby Cat

Just by creating this layout using the beautiful Echo Park Springtime collection given by YSS, my cat "Tobes" has a new nickname now. He is known as "Toby Cat" now! I find the name pretty cute! LOL. Mr. Handsome said I made Tobes looked feminine is this layout. Well I can't help it but to use that photo. Anyways, he is always mistaken as a female cat. LOL!
